The Fonthill Lions are an awesome group of 20 Lions-who live up to their motto “WE SERVE” We had 9 members volunteer at the Pelham Cares Food Drive where, we collected 750 pounds of food and $700.00 in cash donations while donating 40 hours of our time. One member put in 20 hours at Pelham- cares in December and one other member volunteered 12 hours at the Food Bank at Holy Trinity Church Welland. We may be a bit modest but we think we had the best float in the Santa Claus Parade. A big thank you to the Fonthill Giant Tiger who allowed us to put one of our collection barrels for boots, coats, socks, mitts, hat, scarves and etc in their store.

With the help of Giant Tiger management and staff we were able to donate over $700.00 worth of clothing to Pelham and Thorold cares. You the people of Pelham were overly generous and that barrel plus the one at the Lions Hall had to be emptied sometime twice a week. This enabled us to donate 3 truckloads of warm winter clothing to Pelham and Thorold Cares. We also purchased $600.00 worth of grocery gift cards that we donated to Pelham Cares. Members are saving their dimes and nickels until the end of April when all that money will also go to Pelham Cares to help refill their shelves. We also donated gift cards to the residents of Resources Niagara worth $500.00. We signed over 300 Christmas cards that were delivered to Retirement Homes and Seniors apartments in Fonthill.

Through the generosity of our Fonthill Lions and Lionette members we *were able to present personal care items and cleaning supplies and gift card valued at $600.00 to Pelham Cares. Thank you to the awesome residents of our town and surrounding area for your continued support in all we do so we can help those less a fortunate than ourselves.
