Seasons Welland Retirement Community is excited to participate in the Walk for Alzheimer’s next month in May. “Throughout the pandemic, our retirement home has been the recipient of many acts of kindness and generosity. We continue to look for meaningful ways to pay it forward and are glad to partner with the Alzheimer’s Society of Niagara Region. Their help, support and resources are valuable to many of our residents and caregivers,” says Allison Stapleton, General Manager.
One Seasons team member, Cory Cruise, has been a long-time volunteer. He regularly performs for the Alzheimer’s Society, combining his passion for music and helping others. He reflects on his contribution by saying, “The Alzheimer’s Society is an amazing organization that brings our community together to make a difference in the lives of those living with dementia. Performing recognizable music can almost offer them a time capsule, bringing up memories and emotions, as well as creating a meaningful connection from the past to the present.”
The walk will be held May 24 – 31, with an online fundraiser available to support team Seasons Welland. You can support the residents and staff here: www.alzgiving.ca/niagara
