We are so excited to announce that we are now offering group exercise classes across Niagara! Whether you’re looking for a general fitness class or a class that is geared toward managing joint pain, we’ve got you covered.
‘Fitness with Physipod’
This class focuses on whole-body strength using a variety of equipment. We keep our class sizes small to ensure that we can provide you with guidance throughout and adjust workout plans as needed so that you get the most out of it. ‘Fitness with Physipod’ is currently being offered at the Meridian Community Centre in Fonthill and at Russell Avenue Community Centre, West St. Catharines Older Adult Centre, and Port Weller Community Centre in St. Catharines.
‘Escape the Ache’
This class is targeted toward individuals that struggle with joint pain. We’re aware that joint pain can be a major obstacle to older adults trying to get back to any type of physical activity, so we aim to create an experience that is accessible to a variety of ability levels without being intimidating. The class is run as an 8-week program at one hour each week with emphasis on education regarding pain management along with a strength-based exercise program. This program is currently being offered as a drop-in at Port Weller Community Centre and West St. Catharines Older Adult Centre.
