Quick stovetop burgers
Take: Smash Burgers
The burger craze that swept the nation with its charred, caramelized exterior is now available in your kitchen! We’ve got two-and-a-half-ounce ready-to-cook smash burger balls prepared fresh in our Meat Dept., made using Canadian ground chuck beef. All you have to do is preheat a cast iron pan or griddle over high heat, add the meatball to the pan and literally “smash” down with a sturdy spatula or wooden spoon to apply pressure. Season generously with salt and pepper, cook until no longer pink the spatula to scrape the burger from the pan and flip over until cooked. If you’re adding a slice of cheese, continue cooking for 30 seconds (to melt the cheese), then remove from the pan. Add to a bun and dress as you like.
