Meet Young & Ben, owners of Grill on Canboro! Ben immigrated from South Korea to Wainfleet in 1974 (fun fact: he was the weightlifting champion at E.L. Crossley!) And Young arrived in 1985. Little did they know, they would meet and marry in St. Catharines a few years later. Young was no stranger to the restaurant business as her family ran a restaurant in St. Catharines while Ben’s family owned a vegetable farm in Wainfleet. In 1987, fate brought them together and they were married in the same year.

After 30+ years of running restaurants in Toronto, they craved moving back to their roots in Niagara where they would be closer to family. When they found the former Golden Grill for sale, they knew it would be the perfect little family style restaurant and loved the community of Fenwick📍 2022 will be the 6th year running Grill on Canboro and they couldn’t be happier or more grateful.

While the last few years have been challenging, it’s the community and all our regular patrons who have made everyday worth it!
