The burger craze that swept the nation with its charred, caramelized exterior is now available in your kitchen! We’ve got 2½-oz ready-to-cook smash burger balls prepared fresh in our Meat Dept., made using Canadian ground chuck beef. All you have to do is preheat a cast-iron pan or griddle over high heat, add the meatball to the pan and literally “smash” down with a sturdy spatula or wooden spoon to apply pressure. Season generously with salt and pepper, cook until no longer pink; use the spatula to scrape the burger from the pan and flip over until cooked. If you’re adding a slice of cheese, continue cooking for 30 sec. (to melt the cheese), then remove from the pan. Add to a bun and dress as you like.
