Welland Minor Baseball Association will launch its first ever STRIKEOUT CANCER CAMPAIGN with all proceeds raised going towards supporting Childhood Cancer Programming at Wellspring Niagara.

Welland Minor Baseball Association (WMBA) is proud to host it’s STRIKEOUT CANCER CAMPAIGN for the first time. With this campaign WMBA will raise awareness and support for Wellspring Niagara’s Youth & Teen programming.

Highlighting this event during the month of June will include special events such as:

• Battle to Strikeout Cancer baseball tournament,
• Custom jerseys for WMBA’s Rep Teams,
• multiple fundraising events, contests, and draws

The peak of this campaign will take place July 13, 2023 during a night of fun and entertainment where with the support of the Welland Jackfish, we will host the Battle To Strikeout Cancer Game.

When talking with Bill Bouck, President of WMBA he said: “As a part of the Welland community for over fifty (50) years, it’s exciting for all of us to be able to give back. Cancer touches everyone of us in different ways, and raising awareness to childhood cancer while supporting Wellspring Niagara is something we all stand alongside without hesitation. This campaign is one we’re happy to get behind as an association, and we look forward to all of the exciting events coming up.”

The 2023 Strikeout Cancer Campaign is an exciting partnership for us, with all proceeds raised directly supporting the Child and Teen program. Support from our community is vital, and events like these allow us to continue to do what we do for the Wellspring community. The WMBA campaign funds will enable us to continue supporting the unique emotional needs of kids impacted by cancer in Niagara.”
