Patients can expect a quicker, easier process to book a test for COVID-19 when Niagara Health’s online booking platform opens on Wednesday, October 28.
“This platform makes the process of booking an appointment quicker for those meeting the provincial eligibility criteria for testing at a COVID-19 Assessment Centre,” says Derek McNally, Executive Vice President Clinical Services and Chief Nursing Executive. “We appreciate the community’s support as we work to make this process as efficient as possible and our teams will continue looking for new opportunities to leverage technology to better meet the needs of our community.”
The online booking platform is available on our Assessment Centre webpage. Patients will fill out their information and choose from a list of available appointment times at the centre they wish to be tested at. Upon completion, those with an appointment will receive instructions on how to access the centres and other important reminders.
People can also continue to call 905-378-4647 ext. 42819 (4-CV19) to make an appointment. Staff at the Assessment Centre will return calls as soon as possible to schedule a date and time for testing at one of Niagara Health’s three Assessment Centres.
Niagara Health reminds the community of the seriousness of this pandemic and encourages everyone to follow the directions of regional, provincial and federal healthcare experts. You can help limit the spread of COVID-19 by:
- Wearing a mask.
- Practising physical distancing.
- Cleaning your hands often.
- Staying home if you’re sick.
- Getting tested when appropriate.
Please note that COVID-19 Assessment Centres continue to prioritize testing for those most at risk for the virus and testing is available by appointment only. The latest updates are available on our COVID-19 Updates webpage.
