Wesley United Church, in Welland, an urban congregation of 170 families in Horseshoe Falls Regional Council of The United Church of Canada, seeks a music director to commence duties on February 15th, 2022. Their responsibilities include one choir rehearsal weekly for 9 months of the year (September–May) and keyboard leadership during Sunday worship for 11 months of the year (August–June). We have historically had a tone chime choir and would like to initiate a children’s choir. Our Steinway baby grand is regularly tuned 5 times annually.. We see the tasks of a music director taking up to 8 hours weekly. We are open to applicants who have a sense of how music is part of Christ’s mission and ministry. Application deadline: January 8th.
