Port Colborne Historical Society Meeting

April 18, 2023 @ 7:00 pm

  • « Intro to TRX
  • 2nd Annual Welland Rose Festival Purse Bingo »

The Port Colborne Historical Society will meet Tuesday, April 18th at 7pm at Gilead Manor, 303 Elgin St, Port Colborne.  Guest Albert Garofalo, an Instructor at Niagara College, will speak on the Historic Wetlands of Niagara.  In south Niagara they include  the Wainfleet Bog, and the Humberstone and Willowby Marshes which are now Conservation Areas.  This is a very timely topic as many of the still existing low-lying areas are habitats for endangered species and need to be protected.

Please contact portcolbornehistoricalsociety@gmail.com or 905-835-2291 for more information if you wish to attend.
