The Rotary Club of Welland, for many years, has supported children and youth to be their best.
From 2016 through 2018, the Club supported an integrated, community-based initiative in Uganda where the orphaned children attend school with the community children international project. Initiated by the Rotary Club of St. Catharines, this Rotary International funded Simple Schools Build allowed the construction of the first safe school. Welland Rotary provided $3,780.
The next stage is to construct 4 outbuildings. On June 30th, the Rotary Club of Welland presented a cheque, in the amount of $2,000, to St. Catharines Rotarian Jackie Van Lankveld to support the continued multi-club project for in Entebbe Uganda.
