We hope you are keeping safe and well during these very trying times. We are writing to
update you on our 2020 Family FunFest Event. Our primary goal at FunFest is to provide
a safe and healthy environment for all participants and volunteers.
With the current global uncertainty, we are experiencing a ‘new normal’. This means we
will approach every gathering or activity with caution and much trepidation. We are
mindful that FunFest will attract a large number of families, sometimes circulating
closely.
At the moment there are no guarantees that the COVID-19 problems we experience today
will be remedied by this fall enough to ensure a complete, virus-free environment. There
are only predictions right now including suggestions that ‘social distancing’ may continue
well into 2021. It is a precarious place to be today.
After much discussion, we feel that it is in the best interest of all involved to cancel Family FunFest 2020.
We are confident this proactive decision to avoid large group activities in the foreseeable
future will help protect our health, safety, and well-being.
Let us plan to reconvene in 2021 with a fresh new start!
All the members of the Rotary Club of Fonthill and our charitable partners thank you for
your amazing support. We appreciate all that you do and look forward to talking FunFest
once again very soon.
