The Canadian Library Book Wrapping Session (DROP IN)
April 6, 2023 @ 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm
The Canadian Library (TCL) is a grassroots art installation project that acts as a memorial to all Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit (MMIWG2S). The goal is to cover 8,000 books in Indigenous fabric as a testament to the lives lost.
TCL is a living art installation intended to start important conversations and help educate all Canadians on the true history of Canada and the inequalities that still exist today.
Everyone is invited to come cover books and take part in this community project. All supplies are provided.
The covered books will be part of a temporary exhibit at the branch.
