Are you a community-minded, future-focused leader? Are you passionate about nurturing others to develop their own community leadership potential?
The Leadership Niagara Program Advisory Committee (PAC) is now actively seeking engaged, experienced, and community-focused leaders to collaborate in developing and delivering diverse learning experiences for our Community Leadership Development Program.
ABOUT OUR PAC (Program Advisory Committee)
The Program Advisory Committee (PAC) is a committee of volunteers that is charged with the responsibility of designing, developing, and facilitating Leadership Niagara’s Community Leadership Development Program.
As a curriculum decision-making and program advisory body, the PAC will make recommendations regarding curriculum and resources that are critical to the achievement of the program’s objectives.
The work of the PAC, to develop and deliver our signature community leadership program, allows participants to enrich their leadership development experiences and helps to build a strong network of diverse leaders ready to serve the region.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Leadership Niagara needs YOU if you . . .
– Are passionate about Leadership Development, the Niagara Community and believe strongly in community engagement;
– Are excited about being part of a respectful cross-disciplinary cohort of community leaders;
– Have the time and energy to spend 6 – 10 hours a month on committee work: attending PAC meetings, sub-committee work, and leading or contributing to our Learning Days.
Our team seeks highly motivated and committed Niagara leaders who can share their expertise in any of the following areas with our program participants:
- Volunteering and/or supporting Niagara not-for-profits.
- Human Resources and Talent Acquisitions.
- Leadership Development and Research.
- Coaching, leading, or facilitating in-person and/or virtual adult learning sessions.
- Curriculum development and strong pedagogical understanding.
- Experience with boards, and governance in the not-for-profit sector.
- Working towards diversity, equity, inclusivity, and belonging.
DOES THIS SOUND LIKE THE RIGHT FIT FOR YOU?
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Attend a minimum of eight annual in-person Program Advisory Committee meetings in the evenings
-Contribute to the design and development of learning strategies and initiatives for the Community Leadership Development Program
-Actively meet with and engage with other PAC members in the development and delivery of an engaging Community Leadership Development Program
– Serve on at least one learning day team and meet with them as needed to plan agendas, presentations, and activities
– Assist in facilitating full-day, in-person workshops when possible
– Serve as a sounding board for the PAC Chair, the Executive Director, and the Board of Directors to identify educational programming opportunities built around community engagement.
– Actively participate in an annual review and evaluation of Leadership Niagara’s educational program(s) and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
