Isn’t this the time of year that feels like winter will never end?  But there are a couple of signs that give us all hope!  One is that the days are definitely getting longer, dusk starts at 5:25PM.  Remember how everything started to get dim around 3:30 4:00?   Another sign is Rumar Farm’s big planning calendar is sitting on our kitchen table and is actively in use.

Now is the time we map out our planting schedule for 2022 which is very complicated.  Our CSA families are counting on us to have a variety of fruit and vegetables at their peak each week for 18 weeks.  We pride ourselves on having exciting baskets and with all the positive feedback it seems to be working.  That means we will need to plan what crops will be in each basket and count backwards to when they need to go into the ground or seedling trays.  We grow more than 30 different crops so it is a huge task to plan.  The good news is this will be our 7^th year and we have grown and learned along the way.  We love what we do and want to share with the community we live in.  Shares are now on sale through our website at www.rumarfarm.com  If you are interested, please don’t delay as there are only a limited numbers of shares being offered.
