As I sit and enjoy a cup of coffee and reflect on the past 12 days… to say it has been a whirlwind is an understatement, all great and exciting things but a whirlwind nonetheless.
I moved my house first, then The Travel Experience as many of you know, and then I went on a cruise conference. I highly recommend not doing that all in the same week!!
The cruise was a Princess cruise to Alaska! If you love different landscapes and scenery that changes by the minute, then go to Alaska.
We did the inside passage which is a very calm sailing. We stopped in Juneau, Skagway and Ketchikan.
Juneau was a place where if nothing stood out to you on the excursion list then this is the stop where you can just roam and take in the sights, shop and enjoy your day, which is what we did.
Skagway however, I highly recommend the train excursion. It is just incredible! There are 2 trains you can take we did the shorter one which didn’t disappoint.
Ketchikan is easy enough to walk around but highly recommend an excursion. Whales, eagles and other wildlife is found!!
While ships that traverse these waters are generally older ships as they navigate through icebergs and logs in the water they won’t be sending a new ship here. Specialty restaurants serve up the quality and fine selection that you are used too! I love that Princess Cruise Line uses a medallion that is your stateroom key, ordering food/drink and or purchasing items. And when you order food and drink from your app…they will bring your order no matter where you are located!! That was incredibly convenient.
Tip: before your cruise order your medallion to come to your home… It makes embarkation that much easier and faster!
