This year’s Remembrance Day ceremony will be held on November 11, 2020, at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 613 on Highway 20, beginning at 10:45 a.m.
Most years, ceremonies are held in Fenwick, Ridgeville, and at Town Hall, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, those events have been canceled.
Teaming with Niagara College, the ceremony will be livestreamed, and veterans, their families, and the public are encouraged to view the ceremony online. You can watch at: https://livestream.com/accounts/15502389/legion613
Physical participation is limited to 100 people, and those in attendance are required to wear a face-covering and log their name and phone number for contact tracing purposes.
Though the ceremony may look different this year, the substance of the tradition and memory of those who have served is no less important.
Wreath laying will be done prior to the ceremony.
