Based on high demand, Niagara Indoor Pickleball Association (NIPA) is offering two additional “Intro to Pickleball” clinics in January to give even more newcomers a chance to swing paddles and give pickleball a shot.
“Our December Intro Clinics were a huge success. I think it’s because many people have been thinking about playing pickleball for a while, but didn’t know where to start,” said James Fraser, Club President. “Our Centre St. location provides a very supportive and nurturing environment to try the sport. The conversion rate from Clinic Attendee to NIPA Membership is over 60%, with others still indicating interest. Our Club is very inviting and welcoming. We are lucky to have created the perfect balance of good pickleball play and a great supportive community through our social events.”
There will be two Introduction to Pickleball Beginner Clinics, each consisting of two two-hour sessions at a total cost of $25, which is refunded against NIPA membership fee if registrants choose to join the Club. Clinics are scheduled for Mondays from 6 – 8pm on January 6 & 13 and January 20 & 27. Each Clinic is capped at eight participants and registration is accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Holiday Gift Certificates are available for the Clinics for people who want to give someone a fun experience for Christmas. “Pickleball enthusiasts love to promote their sport. It’s the perfect stocking stuffer to get people active,” said James.
NIPA is a non-profit organization run entirely by member volunteers and is an official affiliate of Pickleball Ontario. It first branch is located in Concordia Academy at 1165 Centre Street in Fenwick. For more information or to sign up for a beginner’s clinic, contact Karen Seliske at karen.seliske@gmail.com.
