Head over to the Old Pelham Town Hall (8PM, doors open at 7PM) for an unforgettable night of music with Spencer Burton, a Pelham-based artist with deep roots in Niagara’s music scene. From his early days with local favourites Attack in Black and City and Colour, to his current journey as a folk-country singer-songwriter, Burton has made waves with his passion and heartfelt storytelling.
His latest album, North Wind, emerged from a transformative period spent at a secluded off-grid spot in the northern woods—a place where campfire songs and nature’s peace shaped his music. Now back in Ridgeville, ON, Burton finds inspiration in the simple things: “Let’s live like hobbits. One love,” he says, reflecting his appreciation for homestead life and community.
Music has been Spencer’s compass throughout life. “I’ve been writing, recording, and performing songs for quite some time. It’s always been a passion of mine—something I can’t quite live without,” he shares. Living in Pelham, with its warm neighbours and serene mornings, has shaped both his music and his heart. “Simple things I’ve found here have helped shape me as a person, and I believe it comes across in my songwriting.”
The Old Pelham Town Hall is a special venue to enjoy an intimate concert expereince. “It’s a perfect little hall surrounded by incredible beauty—and it doesn’t hurt that it’s a stone’s throw from my front doorstep,” Spencer notes. He hopes to see more small towns embrace art and culture as Pelham has. “There’s so much beauty here—lush woodlands, acres of farmland, friendly faces. I consider myself incredibly lucky to call this place home.”
