The Welland location of Bosch Rexroth Canada was identified as a key partner in the company’s global expansion strategy and work is underway to optimize the Welland facility. This investment in innovation, automation, productivity, and environmental enhancements began in 2019. The significant changes coming to the Welland site include an expansion of the logistic centre, modernization of the manufacturing areas, equipment and processes, upgrades to the climate controls, and a renovation of the main administration areas. The logistics centre expansion is an exciting endeavour that will see the construction of a shipping staging area with four new loading docks and a transportation corridor that links the centre to the manufacturing area for a completely enclosed path for materials. The project is expected to be complete in late 2022 and staff are eagerly looking forward to the improved processes, teamwork, and efficiencies this enhancement will usher in.
