Get ready for a night of comedy, competition, and a touch of nostalgia as Canalside Players presents Five Alarm! This heartwarming and hilarious play, written by Kristen Da Silva and directed by Jessica Sweeny, is the perfect way to kick off the spring theatre season.
Set in the small town of Killaloe, Ontario, Five Alarm takes audiences to the annual Wayne Rose Memorial Chili Cook-Off, where competitors stir up more than just their chili pots. Ava Rose, determined to win after sixteen years of failure, is back with a new assistant and a mission to recreate her late father’s legendary Five Alarm Chili recipe. With rivalries heating up and past secrets bubbling to the surface, the competition is fierce, the stakes are high, and the laughs are guaranteed.
The incredible cast brings this story to life with charm and comedic timing. Julia Nero stars as the determined Ava Rose, while Terri Haymes, Erica Perron, Eric Terry, and Nik Kares round out a talented lineup ready to serve up an unforgettable performance.
