South Niagara Canoe Club (SNCC) is a local non-profit sport club located in Welland established in 2008.  SNCC offers two types of full-day day camps over the summer break.  The first is Canoe Kids Camp, a week-long program designed to introduce the fundamentals of paddle sports and develop confidence and competence in water safety.  Campers will learn the basics of paddling various boats in a fun and safe environment, including dragon boat, sprint canoe/kayak, and stand-up paddle board.  Daily activities will include a mix of on-water and dry land activities with plenty of games and learning opportunities.  This program is intended for kids who would like to try a new sport while experiencing a uniquely Canadian approach to summer fun!  This camp is open to children ages 8-14 years old but exceptions can be considered for younger children.  Canoe Kids Camp begin June 30, 2025 and the final week begins August 18, 2025.  

Second, SNCC offers a Youth Racing Camp.  This is our exciting multi-week full day program.  The Youth Racing Camp is intended for young participants ages 10 -16 who are excited about excelling at a new sport or who wish to continue developing their skills in Sprint Canoe and Kayak.  Exceptions can be considered for younger children.  There are opportunities to race in local regattas if a camper is interested.  The three-week camp begins August 5, 2025.  The five-week camp begins July 21, 2025.  The seven-week camp begins July 7, 2025.
