Get ready for a night of comedy, competition, and nostalgia as Canalside Players kicks off Five Alarm. This heartwarming and hilarious play, written by Kristen Da Silva and directed by Jessica Sweeny, is the perfect way to launch the spring theatre season.

About the Play
Set in the small town of Killaloe, Ontario, Five Alarm takes audiences to the annual Wayne Rose Memorial Chili Cook-Off, where the competition is as fierce as the flavors. Ava Rose has spent sixteen years trying, and failing, to win. With a new assistant and a mission to recreate her late father’s legendary Five Alarm Chili recipe, she is ready to take on her former childhood friend-turned-rival. But as past secrets bubble to the surface, Ava finds herself stirring up more than just chili.
