The Sports Wall of Fame nominations are also open to Welland individuals who have had outstanding achievements in their lifetime as athletes (individual or team) or a builder.

City of Welland Recreation Coordinator of Recreation, Sport and Culture Laura Chatterton feels it is vital to honour the city’s exceptional athletes and builders.
“We want to move into 2024 with continued interest in supporting our local Welland athletes and teams,” Chatterton said. “We are continuously supporting an environment where young and adult athletes alike not only value themselves, but value their peers, teammates and coaches. What better way to do it then celebrating athletes at a banquet.”
