Every year, the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority (NPCA) hosts the Conservation Awards in honour of the volunteers who dedicate their time to environmental conservation. While this year’s event was not possible due to the pandemic, the NPCA remains committed to recognizing these incredible efforts and achievements through the 2021 Award(s) of Merit.
The NPCA invites community members to submit nominations for this prestigious acknowledgement. The Award of Merit is bestowed on individuals, groups, and/or businesses that have contributed voluntarily to enhancing the health of the watershed and restoring the local environment for the benefit of all residents.
Nomination form, FAQs, criteria, and rules can be found at Get Involved NPCA. Submissions are available to the public, NPCA Board Members, Committees, and staff. There are no fixed limits on the number of awards to be presented, allowing for flexibility of recognition. Nomination deadline is March 31, 2021 at 11:59 p.m.
