NC campuses will be closed from December 22 until January 1, 2024. Normal hours of operations will resume on January 2.
Some services may be operating on modified hours leading up to and during the holiday closure and early in the new year – including the Wine Visitor + Education Centre and Niagara College Teaching Brewery.
Below is a list of operating hours for our services and enterprises over the holidays.

Wine Visitor + Education Centre: The Wine Visitor + Education Centre will be open with regular hours of operation (Sunday – Friday: 11 a.m. – 5 p.m., Saturday: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.) with modified hours on the below dates.
- December 24: 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- December 25: Closed
- December 31: 11 a.m. – 2p.m.
- January 31: Closed for New Years
Ancillary Services: Ancillary Services (Food Services & Ricoh Print services) on both campuses will be closed from December 22 – January 1 and will re-open January 2. Please see a revised schedule below including break week hours from January 2 – 5.
- Tim Hortons: 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
- Subway: 10:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.
- Pizza Pizza: 10:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.
- Nourish/On the Go: 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
- Chef Inspired: 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
- Market Grill: 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
- AHI Tim Hortons: Closed
Athletics & Recreation: Fitness Centres and gymnasiums on both campuses will be closed from December 22 – January 2 with reduced hours and closures on the below dates. Regular hours of operation will resume the week of January 8.
- December 16 – 17: Closed
- December 18 – 21: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- January 2 – 5: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- January 6 – 7: Closed
Benchmark: Benchmark will be closed from December 16 – January 14, and will re-open for lunch service starting January 17.
Bookstores: Both campus bookstores will be closed from December 22 – January 1. Regular hours of operation will resume on January 2. Online ordering is also available via the Campus Bookstore website.
Campus Safety & Parking Services: During the holiday closure, the Welland Campus and the Daniel J. Patterson Campus exterior doors will be locked starting December 23 to January 1, and will re-open January 2. Should you require access to either campus, please contact Security at 905-735-2211 ext.6999 or email security@niagaracollege.ca.
Community Employment Services (43 Church St. in St. Catharines): CES will be open with revised hours during the December 22 – January 1 break. Please see a revised schedule below:
December 22: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

December 27: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
December 28: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
December 29: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Enrolment Services: On-campus and virtual services will be closed December 22 – January 1. Students may continue to submit requests via email and student portal. Requests will be reviewed in priority sequence when Enrolment Services re-opens on January 2. Please visit the Enrolment Services website for information.
Health, Wellness and Accessibility Services: HWAS will be closed from December 22 – January 1 and will re-open January 2.
Good2Talk
Good2Talk is a free, province-wide service for students in college/university and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. It provides professional counselling, mental health information and connections to local resources. COAST Niagara / Mental Health and Addiction Help Line
COAST provides services to people in the Niagara Region who are in crisis and have a mental health concern. Ongoing telephone support and/or referral to appropriate follow-up services may be recommended to prevent further crisis.
Call 1-866-550-5205 (24 hours a day, 7 days a week) and press 1 for COAST or press 2 for Mental Health and Addiction Help Line. Visit the COAST website for more information.
Indigenous Education: The Welland Campus Indigenous Education will be closed from December 18 – 21. Both Indigenous Education Centers will be closed from December 22 – January 1 and will re-open January 2.
International Centres: Both campus International Centres will be closed from December 22 – January 1. All services will resume regular hours of operations January 2.
ncLibraries and Learning Commons: In-person and virtual services, including student support, Test Centre, academic drop-ins, and peer tutoring services will be closed from December 22 – January 1 and will re-open January 2. Online resources are available 24-7 at niagaracollege.ca/library.
Niagara College Student Administrative Council (NCSAC) offices and Student Centres: NCSAC offices and virtual chat services will close from December 22 – January 2. The Core and The Armoury, and The Shack and Undergrounds will also be closed from December 22 – January 2.
Student Services: NC’s Student Rights & Responsibilities Office will be closed from December 22 – January 1 and will re-open January 2.
Teaching Greenhouse: The Greenhouse will be closed from December 22 – January 1 and will re-open January 2.
Teaching Salon: The Teaching Salon and the Pavilion will be closed from December 22 – January 1 and will re-open January 11.
Teaching Spa: The Teaching Spa will be closed as of December 15 and will re-open in January 2024 (date TBD). Please check ncteachingspa.ca in January 2024 for up-to-date information on hours and services available.
