The YMCA of Niagara is offering new and continuing virtual programs for all ages this spring to help people stay active and social at while at home. You do not need a YMCA membership to join in. These programs are available to all Niagara region residents. See the complete list of online programs available below.
“We are pleased to be able to offer Niagara residents a variety of ways to make social connections, stay active and have fun – while staying safe at home.” said Kim Bentley-MacDonald, General Manager. “We have taken some of our favourite in-person programs and fitness classes and made them available and interactive online as a way to stay connected and active until we can offer in person programs again.”
New Lower Monthly Fee for Virtual Fitness Classes! (ages 16+)
The fee for virtual classes has been lowered to $35 + HST per month. This spring we have added new relaxing classes like Mindful Meditation to help deal with stress. Each class will be 45-50 minutes long with time at the end to connect with classmates via video. Are you a little nervous to start? Try a FREE online fitness class! For those individuals who cannot afford the monthly fee, please reach out to customer service so we can discuss Financial Assistance.
YMCA Online Personal Training! (ages 18+)
Individuals (18+) can meet with a certified YMCA Personal Trainer virtually and plan a tailored workout routine to help stay physically active and healthy while at home. No matter your age, fitness level, or lifestyle, the key to the success of online training is accountability. YMCA Personal Training sessions are offered in 3 different packages depending on your needs. Please visit our website to learn more and sign up!
Social Society (ages 18+)
The YMCA Social Society has virtual social and recreational programs that offer Niagara adults (18+) a way to make online social connections, learn something new and have fun! This spring we’ve added more programs like Paint Night, String Art, Meditation, Crock A Doodle and more! Plus, we’ve added a new Private Group Program option for you to gather online with your friends, colleagues or family (6+ people) at a date and time convenient for you!

Youth Action Online Fun and Games (ages 10 to 14)
This is a free virtual drop-in program every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings at 6 pm for youth across Niagara. We have created a virtual space for youth to hang out, catch up with friends, and play some games. Our Youth Action staff have planned a variety of interactive activities that are both challenging and entertaining. Register here
EarlyON (families and children from birth to 6 years)
Our EarlyON Educators offer free, high quality online workshops and resources every week including Circle Time, crafts and activities and parent workshops. Click here for more details.
Virtual Birthday Parties (ages 8+)
Celebrate your child’s birthday online with a YMCA Virtual Birthday Party facilitated by the coolest YMCA staff! The kids will have a great time and you’ll enjoy a fuss-free birthday celebration with no messy clean-up left for you. Learn more here
