Welland resident, Louise Davis loves to bake and cook. She has been wanting to do something to help since the pandemic started so she channeled her culinary passion into a fundraiser in support of Food Banks Canada.
She has named her cookbook ‘Heaven Scented’ and the recipes are a compilation of her personal favourites as well as some from her friends and family. She reached out to D’Angelo Printing to print the books, to keep the cookbook completely local.
When Louise lived in Calgary during the flood of 2013, she launched a similar initiative and raised $400.00 to contribute to the flood relief fund.
She has already sold 40 copies of her Heaven Scented Cookbook surpassing her initial goal of $500.00 in donations. However, she has decided to continue with her book sales and is on a mission to raise as much as possible “because Food Banks Canada is such a great charity to donate to.”
The cookbooks are for sale at $15.00 each and contains over 50 recipe favourites. To purchase a book please email Louise to make arrangements.
