Brock Alumni Barbara Avon (née Buccilli) recently released her twentieth novel, “Promise Me”. It tells the story of Daniel Walker who after the tragic death of his wife, Amy, falls in love with a woman, Bianca, who possesses a magic key. When Bianca is diagnosed with a terminal illness, what choices will she make to preserve their love? Is Daniel her future or will she leave him in the past? Barbara Avon is a multi-genre Author who grew up in Welland, and is an alumni of Brock University. She has written since she was young, pursuing her dreams and vowing to write for as long as she can. She has worked at several different media publications and will continue to publish novels until “her pen runs dry”. In 2018 she won FACES Magazine’s “Best of Ottawa” award for female Author and Spillwords “Author of the Month”.
