With the holiday season just around the corner, singers/songwriters Ola Kiermacz and Adrienne Thiessen release “Where My Hope is Found,” a Christmas single with all purchases supporting the YWCA Niagara.
The YWCA Niagara shelter supports women with essentials, like safety and security. A bed, a warm shower, clothing if needed, toiletries, as well as three meals and snacks. The shelter helps everyone with access to any resources or supports required to ensure their stability.
It is not Ola’s first time helping the community; Write You A Card in 2018 is where it all began, followed by On That Star in 2019 with Adrienne Thiessen to help support Niagara’s Out of the Cold program. In previous years Ola, Adrienne and friends were able to raise roughly $4,000 – which is the aim once again.
“A donation of $4,000 can serve two months of meals for 20 guests at our King St. location,” said Arienne Good, Fundraising & Donor Relations for YWCA Niagara. “Helping put a roof over women’s heads for two months with meals and supports and resources they need is so heartwarming!”
This year’s track “Where Hope is Found” was written and sung by Ola Kiermacz and Adrienne Thiessen, including an appearance by Chorus Niagara Children’s Choir member Norah Hoff. Derek Ellliiotson produced the single, and artist Tess Hoover created the tracks cover art.
“It’s Niagara talent coming together to help their community over the holiday,” said Ola Kiermacz, singer/songwriter, and organizer. “We encourage everyone to have a listen, and if possible, purchase a copy of the song for the holidays. Every little bit counts.”
