Kenmore Homes has been actively supporting Habitat for Humanity Niagara through its Terravita development and commitment to donate $1,000 to the non-profit for every house sold. Since 2019, Kenmore has sold 41 homes resulting in a $41,000 donation to Habitat Niagara.
When completed, Kenmore’s Terravita luxury home development will have 80-units built, resulting in a total donation of $80,000 to Habitat Niagara.
“This ongoing support demonstrates a commendable effort to contribute to the community and help Habitat build more homes for local families in need of a safe and affordable place to live,” said Mark Carl, CEO of Habitat Niagara. “Partnerships like this play a crucial role in fostering community development and addressing the housing challenges we face in the region.”
Kenmore Homes has partnered with Habitat Niagara for more than 15 years, having staff participate on build days, donating extra build materials to Habitat Niagara’s ReStore and recently donating a construction office trailer for staff to have on-site during their builds.
“We understand that adequate housing provides a foundation for families to thrive,” said Derek Allen, construction manager of Kenmore Homes. “Supporting Habitat for Humanity helps to build a stronger community and contributes to building strong bonds within our company.”
Derek also said that Kenmore Homes looks forward to build on their relationship with Habitat and continue to support them whenever they can.
Habitat Niagara is currently building a two-unit semi-detached home in Thorold and is expected to complete construction in late spring of this year.
