Cyclists in Welland are invited to participate in a comprehensive two-part Bicycle Safety Course, presented by BIKE NIAGARA, at the Welland Community Centre. This course is designed to enhance cycling skills and safety awareness for riders aged 14 and up.
Session #1: Saturday, September 14
Topics covered include safety principles, equipment essentials, traffic positioning, rules of the road, hazard identification, and understanding cycling from a motorist’s perspective.
Session #2: Saturday, September 21
Participants will learn about pre-ride checks, eight essential handling skills, emergency maneuvers, and will take part in a short road ride to apply what they’ve learned.
Time: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Location:** Welland Community Centre
Attendees have the option to join both sessions for a comprehensive learning experience or choose the session that best fits their needs.
