Habitat for Humanity Niagara
We bring our community together to help families build strength, stability and independence through safe and affordable homeownership.
Habitat’s path to homeownership is an important and in-depth process, requiring hard work, time and dedication. But this helps to ensure the long-term success of Habitat homeowners.
Anyone can apply to become a Habitat homeowner, but must be in need of housing, able to make affordable mortgage payments and be willing to actively partner with their local Habitat, including a commitment to completing 500 volunteer hours. If you are selected to become a Habitat homeowner, your local Habitat will work with you to help prepare you for the responsibilities of homeownership, which may include workshops on budgeting, home maintenance and more.
Habitat ReStores
The ReStore is a social enterprise retailer that accepts and resells donations of new and gently used furniture, appliances, décor and home improvement building materials. All proceeds from the ReStore fund Habitat for Humanity and help build homes in the community for those in need of a safe and affordable place to call home.
The Niagara ReStores are proudly owned and operated by Habitat Niagara. Your donations and purchases help homeowners achieve the strength, stability and self-reliance they need to build better lives for themselves and their families.
