Billyard Insurance Group (BIG) began as a family-run local brokerage in Welland, Ontario in 1998 and has since expanded to over 44 branches across Ontario, with an operation of over 500 employees. While many other companies seek market growth through mergers and acquisitions, BIG grows and scales their business through organic growth.

In a year that imposed isolation for many, BIG discovered a new resilience in their entire organization as they adapted strategies and deployed technology that brought their teams closer together. They also implemented a new training platform, ‘BIG University’, which equips brokers with video and audio learning sessions covering insurance and systems training, as well as industry trends. These new technologies empowered BIG to scale their business like never before.
