I thank and congratulate the vast majority of Welland residents for their efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19 in our community…it is working.

We all want a community where we can feel safe. We must continue to act responsibly to make certain we are taking precautions to stop the spread of COVID-19. I remind you to please continue to comply with the guidelines of physical distancing, frequent hand washing, wearing a mask or face covering when required, staying home if displaying symptoms or having been in close contact with cases of COVID-19. A two-metre distance must be maintained at all gatherings – indoor gatherings of 50 people and 100 people for outdoor gatherings.
