Backroad Barbeque Company specializes in authentic southern BBQ with their must-try menu items being BBQ Ribs and Smoked Beef Brisket. They are located in Port Colborne with a take-out restaurant and 50-person licensed patio in the summer months!
The business was launched in 2019 as a catering business with a borrowed smoker from their friends at Billy Bones BBQ prior to purchasing their own Southern Pride Smoker. Shortly thereafter, the pandemic put a hold on their catering schedule so they pivoted and rented out local community banquet halls and started serving takeout orders. This helped generate business and support the local halls that were also negatively impacted during the pandemic.
As the world returned to normal post-pandemic, Backroad BBQ found the location at 344 King Street in Port Colborne to continue serving takeout and preparing for catering events that had come back full swing! They now fully operate as a Restaurant, Mobile Barbeque trailer, and full catering services.
Pit Masters for #SLIDERFEST2023 will be Brandon Thomas and Katie Wilson. Brandon Thomas is a co-owner at Backroad BBQ and has over 15 years experience in the BBQ business running rib trucks for Billy Bones and @unclesamsbbq. Katie Wilson is the Store Manager at Backroad BBQ. She has many years of experience in the business as she had also worked for Billy Bones BBQ.
