The Town of Pelham will continue to provide essential services to residents during the modified version of Step Two of the Provincial Roadmap to Reopen. The new time-limited measures in place by the Province of Ontario come into effect Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at 12:01 a.m. for at least 21 days (until January 26, 2022), subject to trends in public health and health system indicators.
As of January 5th at 12:01 a.m., the Meridian Community Centre (MCC) will be closed to the public and all regularly scheduled programming is suspended. The Pathstone Mental Health clinic operated out of the MCC will continue to provide in-person services by appointment. Arrangements for all in-person counselling sessions are to be made in advance by calling the Pathstone Mental Health Clinic Crisis & Support line at 1-800-263-4944
All scheduled rentals at the Meridian Community Centre will be suspended to align with the Provincial requirements. Town staff will work with existing rentals to arrange for options for future rentals.
The Town of Pelham municipal building will be available to the public by appointment only. In order to minimize the spread of COVID-19 to both the public and Town Staff, the Town has closed the Municipal office to the walk-in public. During this temporary measure, Town Staff continue to be available to assist the public, Monday – Friday, 8:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. by phone at 905-892-2607, by email or by scheduled appointments. Please utilize the voice activation system to directly contact the staff member that can assist you. For a complete Town Hall contact list, visit www.pelham.ca/contactus.
Other Town facilities including Old Pelham Town Hall and all Pelham Fire Halls are closed to the public. The Pelham Libraries are currently offering curbside service.
