Vegetable gardens can be just as creative and attractive as any flower garden. Why not create a conversation piece by decorating with your own vegetable plants?
Rainbow Swiss chard makes a beautiful focal point and looks great in strawberry pots. As it fills out it becomes more attractive and by harvesting the outer leaves, new leaves will keep the plants fresh and lush.
Fill hanging baskets with vegetables, there is no gardening rules that say they are only for flowers!! Or use any type of container you like from old buckets to recycled soda bottles and even expensive ceramic bowls.
Use vegetables as bedding plants, especially if they are quick growers and frequently harvested like lettuce and other salad greens. Sometimes you have to think outside of the garden.
Repurpose old discarded pallets and make a great vertical garden. Staple some landscape fabric to the inside of the front of your pallet and the outside of the rear. Fill the whole thing with some good potting soil. Then turn the pallet on its side and make slits where you want to insert your plants.
Create a garden room, which can be a secluded spot in the garden. Have some comfortable seating and consider ways to add shade. With some beautiful outdoor lighting, you can have a wonderful relaxing space to unwind from a hectic day and watch your garden grow😊
