The Rotary Club of Fonthill is pleased to announce that they will be partnering with E.L. Crossley’s Interact Club to support their Holiday Food Drive. In previous years, the Crossley Interact Club has implemented “Christmas Cheer”, an initiative to support over 30 families in need and provide them with gifts and food to brighten their holiday season. This year, with the COVID pandemic, the Interact Club has had to rethink how Crossley students can continue to support their community in a safe and healthy way.
Crossley’s Holiday Food Drive will run from Monday, November 23rd to Friday, December 4th. All families who can donate to this food drive are encouraged to send in items with their Crossley students.
On Friday, December 4th, members of the Rotary Club of Fonthill, will collect all donations in a safe and physically distanced fashion, load them into their cars and deliver them to the Meridian Community Centre in support of the Pelham Cares Annual Food Drive.
The Rotary Club of Fonthill and E.L. Crossley’s Interact Club are encouraging any community members who don’t have children that attend Crossley, but who wish to take part in the Holiday Food Drive to bring items directly to the Meridian Community Centre. Collection takes place on Thursdays and Fridays between 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Please mention you are supporting the Crossley Food Drive.
Items in particular need are: Side Kicks and Hamburger Helper; Chili and Stews; Canned fruit;
Juice Boxes and School Snacks; Flaked Ham/Turkey/Chicken; Jell and Pudding Mix; Cookies and Baking Supplies; Laundry Detergent and Paper Towels; and Shampoo and Conditioner. Please be sure that any food items donated remain within the best before date.
