Niagara Health Foundation is pleased to be the recipient of a generous gift of $37,409 from the David S. Howes Fund at the Niagara Community Foundation. This funding will be utilized to purchase high-quality patient care equipment as it relates to Niagara Health’s COVID-19 response.
“We are grateful for the continued support we have received from Niagara Community Foundation,” says Andrea Scott, Interim President and CEO of Niagara Health Foundation. “The funds received from the David S. Howes Fund will equip our medical teams with the tools they need to continue delivering safe and high-quality care.”
The funding received from the David S. Howes Fund will purchase portable air scrubbing equipment for high risk areas in multiple hospital locations. The David S. Howes Grant Program provides grants to eligible organizations providing services in Niagara. Grants from this Fund support post-secondary, facilities, research, health-care services, education and humanitarian issues.
“The Niagara Community Foundation is determined to continue to support the many needs of our region – especially as we grapple with the impact of COVID-19,” states NCF Executive Director Bryan Rose. “To be able to provide a grant from the David S. Howes Fund to Niagara Health for the purchase of a portable air scrubbing machine to ensure the safety of their front-line staff and the patients in these high risk areas is a priority project the Foundation is proud to fund.”
