Calling All Volunteers: Help Drive Health Access with Welland McMaster Family Health Team
The Welland McMaster Family Health Team (WMFHT) is on a mission to expand health access to everyone in our community, and they need your help to make it happen. They are currently seeking volunteer drivers to support their REACH Niagara Mobile Health Van, which serves the Sunday Migrant Farm Worker Health Clinics in Fenwick.
Volunteer Driver Responsibilities:
- Availability: Sundays from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm (on specified dates)
- Pick Up and Return Location: HOPE Centre, 570 King Street, Welland, ON
- Requirements: Class G Driver License required, with the cost of obtaining a driver’s abstract covered by WMFHT
- Training Provided: Don’t worry if you’re new to driving a mobile health van; WMFHT will provide the necessary training

- Location: Fenwick United Church, 1050 Church St., Fenwick
- Dates Drivers Required:
- May 5th & 19th
- June 2nd, 16th & 30th
- July 14th & 28th
- August 11th & 25th
- September 8th & 22nd
- October 6th & 20th
- Clinics run from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Your contribution as a volunteer driver will directly impact the health and well-being of migrant farm workers in our community. By ensuring safe transportation to and from the clinics, you’ll play a vital role in making healthcare accessible to those who need it most.
