There is no greater gift we can give to ourselves or others than to devote oneself to service. From those who care for the elderly, or provide meals to those who would otherwise go hungry, to everyone who gives their time and effort so that others are cared for and helped, you are our community’s greatest treasure.

It was my honour to shake many of your hands today as my office recognized those individuals with the presentation of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Community Service Award.
