The Rotary Club of Fonthill was excited to be able to hold its first Purse Bingo in two years at the Town of Pelham Meridian Community Centre in the spacious Accursi Room. The November evening of fun and community saw 176 ticket holders participate in Purse Bingo games, a 50/50 draw and a game for a luxury basket valued at more than $1,200.
Thanks to a sold-out room and the generosity of our sponsors, the club raised $8,000 for the nutrition programs at St. Alexander’s, St. Ann’s, A.K. Wigg, Glynn A Green and Wellington Heights elementary schools, as well as two scholarships at E.L. Crossley Secondary School.
The Purse Bingo team wishes to thank all of our sponsors of purses and our donors, including: Debbie Pine of Pinesold Royal LePage; Shelly Marr Mouck of Colliers International; Meridian Credit Union; Cathy Berkhout Bosse of Berkhout Bosse Remax Realtors; Diana Huson, Pelham’s Regional Councillor; Marci Bak of Kane Medical Aesthetics; Pauline Oliver of Pauline Oliver Royal Lepage; Dean Kluke of Falls Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick GMC; Darcy Richardson of Darcy Richardson Real Estate Group; Terry Lynn Adamson of Adamson Wealth Group; Peter Papp and AMP Care; Tanya Lewaskewicz of Strut Shoes; Trina Moscato of Styles Boutique; Mark Georgiev of Accelerated Health; Megan Gizuk of Oliver and Rust, Linda Carr of Linda Carr Jewellry; and Liam Oliver of Oliver’s Branch.
Stay tuned for our next Purse Bingo this coming spring.
