The Town of Pelham and the Pelham Arts Advisory Committee have prepared to provide a safe, yet interactive experience through artist workshops as part of the “Pelham Culture Crawl” taking place during Culture Days this year. These free workshops will showcase artists of different mediums by providing immersive interactive workshops which will be hosted at the Meridian Community Centre on October 13th, 18th and 20th.
Creating a Farmhouse Clock with Erika Bachynski – October 13th at 6:00pm-8:00pm – FULL
Learn how to create your very own custom farmhouse clock from a wooden spool!
Several stains will be available along with white paint if you wish to add a white wash. You will also be able to choose from Roman numerals or Numbers for your clock. Everything you need will be supplied to complete your custom clock.
Music Business/Drum Clinic with Jim Casson – October 18th at 6:00pm-8:00pm
Jim will discuss and demonstrate many aspects of drumming, also how to be a better musician, and how to better organize for concerts. There will be a Q&A session with Jim as well!
Acrylic Watercolour Painting Class with Mary Powley – October 20th at 6:00pm-8:00pm – FULL
Mary’s workshop is structured to the student’s experience, from beginners to advanced. The information is simple and easy to follow. She will teach a controlled way of creating abstract shapes, and the subject matter is then overlaid.
