The YMCA of Niagara is honoured to once again receive the support of Zehrs’ Give a Little, Help a Lot campaign to assist children in Niagara. For over 10 years, Zehrs Markets and their parent company, Loblaw Companies Limited, have been working with the YMCA to create opportunities for children to connect with each other and gain healthy habits that will last a lifetime.
This campaign invites members of the community to support healthy, active living opportunities for children by donating to the YMCA. Since this campaign began, hundreds of kids have benefited from the generosity of Niagara residents, and the YMCA is truly grateful for their support.
From July 15 to August 1, Zehrs Markets stores in Ontario invite shoppers to Give a Little, Help a Lot by adding $2 to their grocery bill in support of their local YMCA. The funds collected from the local Zehrs stores throughout the Region of Niagara will provide financial assistance to allow kids in Niagara to participate in health-focused YMCA programs that will help ensure they remain connected, active, and healthy.
“The Give a Little, Help a Lot campaign gives children the opportunity, no matter their financial circumstances, to access YMCA programs and be part of a supportive community,” says Morena Bertholds, Manager of Development, at the YMCA of Niagara. “The YMCA is playing a significant role in the economic and social recovery of communities due to COVID-19 and that includes ensuring kids and their families continue to have access to the resources they need. We appreciate the community
members of Niagara who are guaranteeing these meaningful experiences for children are available by donating to support YMCA programs.”
