A Legacy of Support and Empowerment
Since 1976, the Welland Heritage Council & Multicultural Centre (WHCMC) has been dedicated to helping diverse ethnic communities in Welland and surrounding areas, including Port Colborne, Pelham, Wainfleet, and Fort Erie, overcome barriers and thrive in their new lives in Canada. Originally established to support Vietnamese immigrants in Fort Erie, our organization has expanded to welcome newcomers from around the world.
Comprehensive Settlement Services
Our services reflect our deep commitment to fostering a welcoming, inclusive environment for immigrants. We provide a wide range of settlement programs, employment solutions, and life skills workshops to help newcomers integrate smoothly into Canadian society. Through our satellite office in Fort Erie and our partnership with the Multicultural Network of Niagara Falls, we extend our reach across Niagara to ensure every newcomer feels supported.
Our Mission: Breaking Down Barriers
As a non-profit charity, we are driven by our mission to eliminate barriers to integration and to provide immigrants with the tools and resources needed for success. Whether it’s language training, job search support, or community connections, we are here to help individuals and families build a brighter future.
We believe in the strength of diversity and the power it brings to our community. Join us on our journey to create a more inclusive society, where newcomers are not only welcomed but empowered to thrive.
Visit our new website to stay informed about our upcoming events, programs, and services. Together, we can continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Niagara’s newcomers.
