I have decided to run because I want to give back to the community by helping council strike the right balance between growth and quality of life and doing so in a fiscally responsible manner.
Getting To Know You
I was born in England and arrived in Montreal in the summer of 1976. I lived there until 1995 when I moved to Ontario.
I’m semi-retired, providing project management training (virtually) to learners across North America. I am also actively involved in mentoring new project managers as well as newcomers to Canada.
I’ve gained over thirty years of leadership experience by working with hundreds of companies across most industries and I published a book on project leadership in early 2021.
I hold a Bachelor in Computer Science degree from Concordia University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from McGill University.
My wife, Soniya, is a licensed insurance broker for Scoop Insurance here in Welland. Our son, Akshay, lives in Toronto and works as a reporting analyst for a Canadian bank.
My Interests
When I’m not teaching or mentoring, I keep busy kayaking on the Welland River and Recreational Waterway, working out at the gym (five days a week at Crunch on Lincoln first thing in the morning), playing golf, baking, reading, playing Scrabble and blogging.
I’m also a huge Welland Jackfish fan and am looking forward to enjoying all of their home games next season!
