B4 Power, a Not-For-Profit charitable organization, is founded by the owners of B4 Networks, Bryan & Amanda Lachapelle. B4 Power’s mandate starts with encouraging girls to pursue their passion in STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics).
Knowing they could help make a difference, they created the B4 Power “Women in STEM” bursary to give to a deserving female who is pursuing her Post-Secondary education in a STEM field. There are four (4) requirements that must be met to be considered for the bursary:
1. She must identify as female;
2. She must be from the Niagara Region;
3. She must be graduating from High School in June 2021; and
4. She must be accepted and attending a Post-Secondary Institution in September 2021 studying in a STEM field.
This is the fifth year this reward will be presented to a recipient. For the last four years, the bursary amount was $1000. This year, it has been increased to $1500 to help with tuition costs.
