All aboard the S.S. American! The Port Colborne Operatic Society is thrilled to announce its 2025 production of Anything Goes, a classic musical filled with toe-tapping tunes, dazzling dance numbers, and hilariously unpredictable antics.
Set sail for a theatrical adventure as the S.S. American journeys between New York and England with an unforgettable cast of characters:
- Reno Sweeney, a glamorous nightclub singer and former evangelist.
- Billy Crocker, a Wall Street broker chasing his one true love, Hope Harcourt.
- Hope Harcourt, torn between love and her engagement to the charmingly awkward Sir Evelyn Oakleigh.
- Moonface Martin, a lovable, second-rate con man who’s “Public Enemy #13.”
With love triangles, mistaken identities, and slapstick comedy, Anything Goes promises to delight audiences of all ages. Featuring unforgettable Cole Porter songs like “I Get a Kick Out of You” and “You’re the Top,” this is a show you won’t want to miss!

About the Port Colborne Operatic Society
Celebrating 80 years of community theatre in 2025, the Port Colborne Operatic Society is the oldest amateur theatre company in Niagara. Since 1945, the society has been entertaining audiences with its annual musical productions, from its early days on the stage at the INCO (now Vale) hall to its current home at Lakeshore Catholic High School.
The volunteer cast and crew dedicate countless hours to creating an unforgettable theatrical experience while also giving back to the community. Proceeds from performances support local charities, including the Port Colborne Festival of the Arts, Toronto Sick Kids Hospital, Santa’s Helpers, and arts scholarships for high school students.
