Dear Friends of Niagara Pumphouse,
It is with sadness that The Board of The Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre has decided to close our doors to the public for an indefinite time, as a precautionary measure to protect our community against infection of COVID-19.
Our first priority is to safeguard the health and wellbeing of our staff, volunteers, as well as our members and patrons.
This means a temporary halt on all spring programs and gallery exhibitions, and the cancellation of the Fashion Show. All other planned events are on hold until further notice.
As everyone is doing, we will continue to monitor the situation closely, following the advice provided by our public health agencies and the government to implement prevention measures. We rely on these same agencies to inform us when it is prudent to reopen. We will keep you informed as the situation evolves.
We are encouraged by the Canadian government’s commitment to financially assist small businesses and charities like us. But we recognize it will take time before funds will be made available. In the meantime, our expenses continue to accrue. If you have ever considered making a donation to the Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre, we encourage you to consider helping us now. Please contact me if you would like to discuss.
As we travel this path to recovery as a community, we thank you for your past support and engagement in our programs and activities, and look forward to welcoming you all back when it is safe to do so. Until then, stay well and our thoughts are with you.
Sincerely,
Lise Andreana, Chair
